See your household's money in one clear picture.
Savings, pensions, mortgage, spending and future plans usually live in different places. All Told brings them together on your computer, so you can see where your household stands, how it's doing and where it might be heading.

The pieces are all over the place
Most households don't have a financial picture. They have pieces: a current account here, savings there, a pension you check once a year, a mortgage statement, and perhaps a spreadsheet that tries to hold it all together.
Each piece makes sense on its own. Putting them together is the hard part. If you're the one in your household who tries to keep track of it all, you'll know how some fairly simple questions stay surprisingly difficult to answer.
- What do we actually spend in a normal month?
- Are we saving as much as we think we are?
- What are we worth, all told?
- What would a new car or a new kitchen really do to our plans?
- Could we afford to work a bit less?
One picture, built from the pieces
All Told brings the separate parts of your household finances together. Seen side by side, they start to make sense.
Bring it together
Savings, pensions, property, mortgage and other debts in one place. What you own, what you owe, and what that adds up to.
See what's normal
Bring in your bank statements and see what a typical month really costs, and where the money actually goes.
Look ahead
See how your position might change over time, and what a big cost, a change in income or a new plan would do to it.
Choose deliberately
Keep what's worth it, change what isn't, and point money towards what matters. All Told shows you the effect. The decision stays yours.
Your data stays with you
Your financial information is stored on your computer, in a file you control, and you can protect it with a password.
There's no bank connection to set up and no All Told account to create. You bring in your statements when you choose to.
All Told has no adverts and doesn't sell financial products. It helps you understand your finances. It doesn't tell you what to do with them.
Why I built All Told
My wife and I wanted to understand our finances better. In particular, we wanted to know whether we could spend less on some things and put more towards the things we cared about.
Finding out took longer than it should have. We worked through bank statements, credit card statements and a spreadsheet where we tried to pull everything together. But once everything was in one place, we started noticing things. There was spending we'd simply stopped seeing. Plenty of it we were glad to keep. Some of it we weren't.
The useful part wasn't simply cutting back. It was seeing the whole picture clearly enough to choose.
I built the first version of All Told for our own household. I'm not a financial adviser. I'm someone who had the problem and wanted a better way to deal with it. Now I'm finding out whether it can help other households too.
